These Are The Emmy Nominated Shows You Need To Check Out, If You’re Tired of ‘Stranger Things’ or ‘The Crown’

Plus, which ones you can binge and finish just in time for the ceremony!

This year’s Emmys will be one of the first U.S.-based awards shows to take place in real time since the lockdown started, set to give us a glimpse into what live events will look like in a post-pandemic world.

This past June, many of us tuned into the socially-distanced 56th Baeksang Arts Awards; as did we for the pre-recorded MTV Video Music Awards in which Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande performed a medley of songs from Chromatica—wearing masks that complemented their outfits, of course. At the recently concluded American Country Music Awards, the performers, from Carrie Underwood to Taylor Swift, sang to empty seats at various locations in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Emmys, on the other hand, will be a completely virtual experience, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, and it’s set to take place on Monday, September 21 at 8 a.m. Manila time. HBO’s Watchmen and Amazon Prime’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel take the lead for the shows with the most nominations.

We’ve rounded up the shows you should check out, beyond Stranger Things and The Crown. Find out where you can watch them, and which ones you can binge over the weekend and finish just in time for the ceremony.
