Here Are Your 2021 SAG Awards Winners
The evening’s big winners included Viola Davis, ‘The Crown,’ Daniel Kaluuya, ‘The Queen’s Gambit,’ and more
The 27th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on Sunday, April 4, as a one-hour, pre-recorded ceremony and it honored some of the year's best and unforgettable performances by actors in 15 categories across film and television. This year's awards had also expanded on the show's "I Am An Actor" stories through docuseries inspired video interviews incorporated into the program.
For television, Ted Lasso, Schitt's Creek, The Queen's Gambit, and The Crown remained all around favorites. As for the evening's film awards, Aaron Sorkin's The Trial of the Chicago 7, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Minari, and Judas and the Black Messiah won—making 2021 the first year performers of color won all four film acting categories.
