Kang Daniel In Talks To Make Acting Debut

Good news, Kang Daniel fans! The “Who U Are” singer is reportedly set to make his acting debut this year in a series by Disney+ and we have all the deets so far.

According to the report from Ilgan Sports made today, Kang Daniel has been offered as the male lead role in Our Police Course, a drama about the youth of Korea and how they grow alongside their dreams, love, and difficulties.

The male lead role is that of Wi Seung Hyun, an honors freshman starting out at the Korean National Police University. He admires and respects his father, who happens to be the Commissioner of the Gyeonggi Dongbu Police Academy. He sets out on following his father’s footsteps but when he gets involved with Go Eun Gang, he encounters a few hurdles.

Our Police Course will tell the story of the struggles of young adults who were born in the year 2000, making their way through and hoping to stand out in a 2000-student campus, which happens to be one of the most conservative and prestigious universities in the nation.

A source from KONNECT Entertainment, his agency, shared with Star News, “Kang Daniel has been offered the role of the protagonist in ‘Our Police Course’ and is reviewing it.”

As one of the most successful soloists of his generation, Kang Daniel has stayed focused on his music despite receiving multiple offers to act in dramas since his debut with Wanna One in 2017.
