"Lavender Fields" Is Currently the No. 1 TV Show on Netflix PH

ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment's latest series, Lavender Fields, premiered on streaming platform Netflix on August 30. Now, it's the no. 1 TV show on Netflix PH.  

As of this writing, the action drama/revenge series tops the Top 10 list of TV shows on the said platform, followed by K-dramas Love Next Door and The Frog. 

Lavender Fields stars Jodi Sta. Maria (Jasmin Flores/Lavender Fields), Jericho Rosales (Tyrone de Vera/Arthur Pelaez), Janine Gutierrez (Iris Buenavidez-de Vera), and Jolina Magdangal-Escueta (Lily Atienza).

The cast also includes Maricel Soriano, Albert Martinez, Edu Manzano, Victor Neri, Bernard Palanca, Thou Reyes, and Pamu Pamorada. Janine's mother, Lotlot de Leon, also has a stint on the show as the mother of Jodi's character.

Lavender Fields, Jodi says, is the her first action-drama project. In the first few episodes available, her character, Jasmin, is seen training in boxing. To prepare better for her role, she said that she trains four or five times a week. In an interview with MJ Felipe, Jodi commented on why she decided to take on this project, saying, "Isa sa mga bagay na laging nagpapa-oo sa'kin sa isang proyekto is 'yung fact na kapag kinabahan ako, 'pag naka-feel ako ng 'shucks, parang hindi ko ito kaya gawin,' all the more na gugustuhin ko siyang gawin."

Lavender Fields, directed by Emmanuel Quindo Palo and Jojo Saguin, is now also available on iWantTFC and Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and TV5 at 8:45 p.m.
