Don’t Forget: Zendaya’s Newest Film ‘Malcolm and Marie’ Arrives on Netflix This Friday

Kick off February with one of 2021’s most highly anticipated movies—Malcolm & Marie, starring Zendaya and John David Washington, arrives on Netflix this Friday. 

The film follows the titular characters, Malcolm, a filmmaker, and his girlfriend Marie as they return home from a movie premiere and await his film’s critical response. The evening then takes a turn as revelations about their relationships begin to surface, testing the couple’s love for each other. 

Malcolm & Marie, shot in 35mm black-and-white film, is already projected to be a favorite throughout awards season, despite its mixed reviews. According to Deadline, the film is “an acting tour de force for two of Hollywood’s hottest most watchable young stars,” while it currently holds a 58% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. 

Malcolm & Marie premieres on Netflix on February 5.
