Here’s Everyone Joining Jisoo In Her Upcoming Drama ‘Snowdrop,’ From Kim Hye-yoon To Jung Hae-In
The new drama is by the same people behind ‘SKY Castle’!
Exciting news for those awaiting Jisoo’s upcoming star turn in Snowdrop: she has found herself in good company as more cast members for the new JTBC drama are announced!
In August, the network announced that BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is set to star in the drama alongside Kim Hye-yoon. Today, JTBC confirmed that Jung Hae-in, Jang Seung-jo, Yoon Se-ah, and Jung Yoo-jin are also coming onboard.
According to Soompi, the producers of Snowdrop sought to gather “a team of actors who have both top-class acting skills and visuals.” The team working on Snowdrop will be the same people behind the highly successful drama SKY Castle—director Jo Hyun-tak and writer Yoo Hyun-mi.
Set in Seoul in 1987, Snowdrop will tell the story of Im Soo-ho (Jung Hae-in) and Eun Young-cho (Jisoo)—two students at a prestigious university who meet by chance after he, covered in blood, storms into a female dorm. Young-cho takes him in and nurses him back to health, putting herself at risk.
The rest of the cast features Yoon Se-ah, the “strict and terrifying” head of the dorm; Kim Hye-yoon, an employee at the dorm who had to forgo college because of her financial capacity; Jang Seung-jo, the “relentless” head of the National Intelligence Service; and Jung Yoo-jin, an “impulsive and hot-tempered” NIS agent.
Snowdrop is set to air next year.
