Everything We Know About Song Hye-kyo’s Upcoming Drama
'The Glory' is penned by Kim Eun-sook, the screenwriter of 'Descendants of the Sun'
This week, it was announced that Song Hye-kyo and Kim Eun-sook are reuniting for a new project together.
According to a report by Soompi, the screenwriter is preparing a drama “that will begin filming in the second half of the year. Song Hye-kyo was chosen for the lead role.”
Hye-kyo and Eun-sook previously worked together on Descendants of the Sun, in which the former starred and the latter wrote.
Here’s everything we know about the upcoming drama, The Glory, so far:
Ahn Gil Ho will be directing. He previously worked on Forest of Secrets, Memories of the Alhambra, and the recently concluded Record of Youth.
The drama is a revenge story. In another report by Soompi, it was revealed that The Glory “begins with a high school student who dreamed of becoming an architect. However, she had to drop out of school after suffering from brutal school violence. Years later, the perpetrator gets married and has a kid. Once the kid is in elementary school, the former victim becomes their homeroom teacher and starts her thorough revenge towards the perpetrators and bystanders of her bullying days.”
There will be multiple seasons, the first one of which will have eight episodes.
It is scheduled to air at the end of the year or in the first half of next year. The Glory will be produced by Hwa & Dam Pictures and Studio Dragon.
