Hot New Shows To Watch On Metro Channel This Summer

As the temperature goes up and the beaches start to get filled, we can only think of one thing: summer is coming! And we’re totally gearing up for the summer season with brand new and returning shows, both local and international, at Metro Channel.

From refreshing recipes to new summer itineraries, we’ve got your summer plans all laid out for you. Here are all the shows that you should look forward to for the whole month of March to get you into the season of sun, sand, and sea.

The Crawl Italy Premieres March 1, 7 p.m.

Savor the flavors of Italy with award-winning chef Margarita Forés and artist-restaurateur Matteo Guidicelli on The Crawl Italy, Metro Channel’s second installment of its premier food and travel show, The Crawl. The tag team goes around Italy to visit Chef Margarita’s favorite restaurants and try out the best that Italy has to offer.

Extraordinary Places to Eat Premieres March 1, 9 p.m.

Restaurateur Fred Sirieix joins four chefs who bring him to their favorite European gastronomic haunts—from the glamorous Venice to the beautiful Paris. Get hungry as you’re treated with the most extravagant 5-course tasting menus, and get educated as Fred meets the chefs, bakers, fishermen, and butcher behind the masterpiece on his place.

Martha Bakes S6
Premieres March 2, 6 p.m.

One can never get enough of Martha Stewart’s genius, especially when it comes to baked goods and desserts. In the 6th season of Martha Bakes, she shares tips and tricks in perfecting dessert classics like pastry cream, chocolate ganache, and sponge cake, to more delicate desserts like frangipane and French meringue.

Jamie Cooks Italy Premieres March 14, 7 p.m.

In this show, Jamie Oliver travels the whole of Italy to find the best homecooked recipes in the world, handed down through generations. Did you know that the source and heart of the best Italian recipes are nonnas or grandmothers who have spent years perfecting and handing down their heirloom recipes in their family?  

Dreamcatchers S2 Premieres March 15, 7 p.m.

Last year, Dreamcatchers S3 premiered on Metro Channel, which showcased some of the Philippines’ most beautiful islands. We go back one season to follow Dreamcatchers Phillipe Estiot and Iva Aguero as they explore the world aboard a sailboat, and meet fellow travelers who have pursued their dreams and followed their passion for travel.

Glamping Adventures Premieres March 15, 8:30 p.m.

Experience a different form of luxury travel with glamorous camping or “glamping,” a fast becoming a lifestyle trend where you can embrace the beauty of nature without compromising comfort. In this show, pairs of glampers visit eco-tourism hotspots all around Asia—from mobile yurts in Mongolia and floating tents in Cambodia, to a leopard trail camp in Sri Lanka.

Beached S2 Premieres March 28, 10:30 a.m.

If you missed the full season run of Beached last year, you can now catch all the season 2 episodes featuring Marc Nelson and Rachel Peters as they explore the most beautiful beaches in the country. From famous favorites to more secluded places, this duo will get to explore the most beautiful scenery and experiences that the Philippines has to offer. Plan your summer itinerary accordingly!

Giada on the Beach

Are you ready for the al fresco entertaining, pool parties, and family get-togethers that you’ll need to host come summer season? Get some easy-to-prepare entertaining dishes from Giada De Laurentiis as she comes back with a new show, Giada on the Beach.

Million Dollar Listing Miami
Premieres March 28, 3 p.m.

If you loved the extravagant houses of Million Dollar Listing LA, you’ll surely enjoy their Miami season, where these three luxury real estate agents battle it out in the world of high-end real estate. The mansions are bigger, the high-rises are taller, and the amenities are even more luxurious. Get inspired with these resort homes that offer amazing views, access to beaches, and extraordinary lifestyle.

Foodprints S8 Premieres March 28, 8 p.m.

It’s a brand new season for one of our favorite local foodie shows, Foodprints! We follow Chef Sandy Daza as he goes all around the world to get a taste of their culture and cuisine. Foodprints S8 will kick off with a back-to-back 30-minute episode on Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest province known to be the best potato producers in the world.
