ATTN ARMY: BTS Has Their Very Own Reality Show Coming In August

Called "In the SOOP BTS Ver.," the show brings the BTS boys to an unexpected location—the woods!

BTS boys RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook are getting rugged and going back to basics in August, or at least, are scheduled to enjoy the ruggedness of the great outdoors thanks to their brand new reality show, In the SOOP BTS Ver.!

The show gets the K-pop group to head out to the woods where they'll be doing everything they're fans imagine them to do—when they're not out performing their hearts out onstage or casually breaking all sorts of records that is—like hanging out, goofing around, exploring hobbies, and enjoying some much needed R&R.

Premiering on August 19 with a weekly episode format, In the SOOP BTS Ver. will be a real treat for the ARMY in every way.

The show is made up of 16 one-hour episodes and will be one hundred percent focused on BTS, and most interestingly, they won't only be the show's main subjects; they'll be hosting, too! The whole group will be in the same area for the most part where they'll get the chance to bond for hours on end, but segments will also be devoted to highlighting individual members' activities.

Speaking of activities, BTS was given free reign over what they wished to do for each episode, ensuring that the unscripted realness of each moment caught on cam.

The goal was to present the K-pop group, possibly Korea's most famous of all time, at their most spontaneous and authentic.

It's a refreshing break from seeing BTS in familiar settings; they won't be in sold out arenas, makeup chairs, or in fancy production sets for magazine or music video shoots, but will be out and about in the lushness of nature taking things easy.

It doesn't end there.

Aside from the regular one-hour episodes, 80-minute versions of each of them will be uploaded on the BTS Weverse community that include behind the scenes features and uncut footage, giving the ARMY something to look forward to every week until October.

In case you didn't know, In the SOOP BTS Ver. isn't actually BTS' first brush with reality TV. They've starred in many other shows before it, with some even dating back to the days that they were just beginning their careers. (Check out a comprehensive list of BTS shows here).

With August just around the corner, the biggest BTS fan's craving for fresh BTS material is sure to be fulfilled soon enough!
