<p>The first-ever Filipino <strong>Amazon</strong> Original movie <em><strong>Ten Little Mistresses </strong></em>is almost here! <strong>Prime Video</strong> launched the movie last February 7 in a blue carpet gala premiere ahead of its <font face="Georgia-Bold"><strong>February 15</strong></font> streaming.</p><div><br/></div><p><em>Ten Little Mistresses</em> (<em>Sampung Mga Kerida</em>) tells a tale of Filipino billionaire Valentin Esposo (John Arcilla) and his ten mistresses. They fight it out tooth and nail to become his legal wife. But when Valentin turns up dead, all ten women end up as prime suspects. Think of attending a <a href="https://metro.style/fashion/trends/met-gala-2021-show-stopping-looks/31251" target="_blank">MET Gala</a> event in New York and the theme is camp. Every character has an interesting look and personality. With fashion in full-force from wide brims to all-glittery ensembles, the costumes serve a visual feast, thanks to the amazingly talented costume designer <strong>Jaylo Conanan</strong> and headpiece creative <strong>Jaydee Jasa</strong>.</p><div><br/></div><p>The <strong>Idea First Company</strong>’s <strong>Jun Robles Lana</strong> (director) and <strong>Perci Intalan </strong>(producer) are at the core <font face="Georgia-Italic"><em>of <em>Ten Little Mistresses</em>. </em></font>They are also the duo behind blockbuster and critically-acclaimed movies such as <em>Big Night</em>, <em>Panti Sisters</em>, <em>Born Beautiful</em>, <em>Die Beautiful</em>, <em>Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes</em>, <em>Bwakaw</em>, <em>Barber’s Tales</em>, and <em>Kalel 15</em>.</p><div style="text-align:center"><br/></div><div class="youtube-iframe"><iframe width="400" height="345" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/It120HSWer4" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>Director Jun Robles Lana was ecstatic that this could be the first Filipino film to reach a global audience through the streaming service. “I’ve always waited for the chance to do a murder mystery film. And with Prime Video, everything fell into place so perfectly,” Lana said. “We had so much fun even though we worked long hours with a dozen cast members. We just want to make the audience laugh; to show even non-Filipinos that our comedy is universal.”</p><div><br/></div><p>Intalan added, “When we pitched this to Prime Video in L.A. (California), we realized how massive the global audience could be for our film. But it’s still surreal now, knowing that we’ll be in 240 countries and territories.
