BTS' "Butter" Still in Top 10 on Billboard's Hot 100; 'BTS, The Best' Japanese Album Makes Debut on Billboard 200
The hit holds on to its top 10 spot, ranking at No. 7, while the Japanese compilation album ranks at No. 19 on the Top 200 Albums chart
BTS is still on fire with "Butter" and "Permission To Dance" on the Billboard Hot 100!
On August 16, Billboard released the top 10 rankings for its famous Hot 100 chart, as well as key results from the Billboard 200, its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States.
BTS’s Japanese compilation album BTS, The Best debuted on this week’s Top 200 Albums chart (“the Billboard 200”), ranking at No. 19. This is BTS’s ninth album to enter the top 20 of the Billboard 200.

BTS, The Best was released last June 16 and surpassed the first-week album sales record of 2021 on the Oricon Chart within a single day. With this album, BTS also became the first Korean male act to have an album achieve a million certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). While the album was released in June, its performance on the Billboard 200 shows that the album had only recently become available in the United States.
Additionally, BTS, The Best was the fifth top-selling album of this week.

Meanwhile over on the Hot 100, “Butter” continues to stay on the top 10, ranking this week at No. 7. The hit fell to No. 4 last week after holding the top position for a record-breaking nine non-consecutive weeks. The song also switched places with “Permission to Dance” twice.
This extraordinary achievement means that BTS as a group held the top spot on the Hot 100 for 10 consecutive weeks before being replaced by "Stay" by The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber.
