Marina Summers Releases New Single 'Divine' With Tarsier Records

The Drag Race Philippines first runner-up stuns and croons in this dance-pop anthem—and we can't get enough

<p><strong>Marina Summers </strong>told us, &#x27;the best is yet to come,&#x27; and you know she delivered!</p><div><br/></div><p>The internationally-renowned Filipina drag artist has released her debut single with <strong>Tarsier Records</strong> yesterday, November 4. Inspired by heavenly bodies and the LGBTQ+ community, <strong>&#x27;Divine&#x27; </strong>speaks of taking ownership of one&#x27;s individuality—celebrating it even. I’ve always wanted to champion queer talent wherever I go. Right now, there’s not much drag music out in the market. And as we know, music is an essential part of story telling for drag. And I think it’s high time for us to tell our stories through our own songs. This track is very inspired by heavenly bodies and how almost all people worship them. And as a queer person living in a Catholic/Christian country, it’s the other way around. The LGBTQ+ community has always been condoned and deemed to be “sinners” for just being queer alone. Divine speaks about taking ownership and power of your body and individuality.”</p><div><br/></div><p>Producer and founder of Tarsier Records, Moophs, on &#x27;Divine&#x27;: “Working with Marina on “Divine” was incredible. She brought such focused and fierce energy to the recording session. As with everything, she knows exactly what she wants and how to deliver it, is prepared, and is equally at home taking the lead or following guidance when she thinks she needs it. I was super impressed with her performance when I recorded her for Drag Race Philippines Season 1, so getting to work with her as a recording artist is amazing.
