IU’s Newest Song “Celebrity” Is Out

After almost four years, IU is set to return with a fifth album, and today, she revealed a bit of her upcoming music with her newest single entitled “Celebrity.” 

With lyrics written by IU herself, the 3-minute pop track talks about the struggle of finding oneself amidst the noise of being in the limelight, while still being able to latch onto someone special through it all.

The accompanying music video features IU in various sets, from the red carpet to the quiet of her own room. The music video also finds her dancing again (!!!), which has excited a lot of her fans—including us.

IU’s last full-length album, Palette, was released back in 2017, with a few singles having dropped here and there, including a track on Crash Landing on You’s soundtrack and last year’s “eight,” a collaboration with BTS’ Suga. “Celebrity” is set to usher in a new musical era for the star, and frankly, we can’t wait!
