Watch Now: Coldplay x BTS’ ‘My Universe’ Music Video

Coldplay and BTS have finally released the much-anticipated music video for their new collaboration "My Universe"—and it did not disappoint.

Set in far-off galaxy called The Spheres (as in Coldplay’s upcoming album Music of the Spheres), Coldplay and BTS team up with a supergroup of extraterrestrials called Supernova 7 to bring back music in an alternate universe where it is outlawed. Directed by legendary music video director Dave Meyers, the visual follows both groups dropping two new versions of "My Universe"—an acoustic version and the "Supernova 7 Mix".

The joint single was released on September 24, and was co-written by both groups alongside Max Martin. The song is also the second single to be lifted from Coldplay’s forthcoming studio album Music Of The Spheres (slated for October 15th release) following their hit comeback song "Higher Power". Ahead of the LP’s unveiling, Coldplay has also dropped 10-minute closer “Coloratura” as well as an album trailer titled “Overtura".

"My Universe" is BTS’ fourth single this year, following their Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "Butter" and "Permission To Dance".

Earlier this year, the supergroup also released the Japanese-language track "Film Out", from their compilation album BTS, The Best. 

In the past week, the two bands also released a documentary titled Inside My Universe, which chronicles the making of their collaboration.

Coldplay recently performed "My Universe" at the New York leg of Global Citizen Live. While BTS were not physically at the concert, our favorite Bangtan boys were featured as holographs on a backdrop while Martin sang both English and Korean parts to the track.

In other BTS ARMY news, the group is set to hold their first offline in-person concerts for the first time in two years. BTS is set to bring their upcoming online concert ‘Permission To Dance On Stage’ live to Los Angeles, California this November and December.
