6 Things We Learned About KinnPorsche The Series’ Jeff Satur And Barcode Tinnasit
They shared about experiences they want to try in the Philippines, building their chemistry, and more fun facts!
A few more night’s sleep and we’ll be able to see the cast members of the phenomenal Thai BL KinnPorsche: The Series! Following a successful run earlier this year, the handsome and talented boys of the show are now embarking on their first-ever world tour, with their Philippine stop happening on October 8 at the SM Mall Of Asia Arena.
Metro.Style got to speak with one of our favorite couples in the show—Jeff Satur and Barcode Tinnasit, who played Kim and Chay, brothers of Kinn and Porsche, respectively. Known among their fans for their collective name “JeffCode”, the actors are beyond thrilled to finally come to Manila. “I’m so excited to go there to travel and to see our fans,” Jeff says, while Barcode eagerly nods in agreement.
On Philippine experiences they want to dip their toes in
As a musician, Jeff looks forward to discovering the Philippines’ culture and music. His first destination of choice is Manila, where he plans to find “all the places that teenagers go” as well as sample on food fare. Meanwhile, Barcode wants to try scuba diving in our islands. Through this, he hopes to overcome his fear of deep waters and see the beautiful marine life.
On being close and building chemistry
The two share not only good looks and talent, but similar tastes as well, apparently. From the same choices in gaming, music, and movies, they hit it off quite well. “I guess that's why we’re close,” Jeff muses. Barcode adds that they’re really tight to the point that he knows what’s Jeff’s mind—to which his partner counters, “He doesn’t know anything,” followed by laughter.
On favorite things and moments on the KinnPorsche set
For Jeff, his first scene—a fight scene—stood out throughout filming. “It’s very hard work for me because it’s the first fight scene ever in my life, and I had to practice for hours before that,” he explains. Barcode, on the other hand, was very impressed with their very luxurious set, which is a hi-tech hotel. “I’m pleasantly surprised and very happy to be able to see something that cool,” he shares.”
On playing another character on KinnPorsche
When asked to pick a character apart from Kim and Chay to play, both easily answered the query. “Tankhun,” Barcode reveals. “He’s something different from the series. He’s kind of crazy, so I love that.” Jeff goes for Vegas, saying, “He’s such a confused character, I guess,” the actor explains. “I just want to get to know him a little better. Because in the series, we’ve seen him in his strongest side. But, we don't really know what’s going on deep down inside.” Jeff also thinks that playing Vegas would help him improve his acting, as his was a complex character.
On defining love
“It’s a simple yet hard question,” Jeff begins. But if there’s anything they learned about this matter after their stint in KinnPorsche, it’s that love is two things. “Love is acceptance of another human being without any doubt in your mind, and to openly accept every kind of bad behavior—and the good one, too,” Jeff answers. For Barcode, it’s giving and doing what’s better for the people you love, whether it’s for family, friends, or the world.
On their next steps
While JeffCode are open people, they still want to keep some things hushed. “I can’t really say anything. I'll just let you guys guess what my next move is,” Jeff says when asked about his future projects. However, fans can expect music stuff “coming soon”. Barcode, outside of his acting career, wants to keep pursuing his education and graduate on time. But for his other acting projects, he wants us to just “wait and see!” Such a tease.
