Cinema Centenario’s Yuletide Season Screenings

Amidst the last-minute Christmas shopping and numerous reunions and parties, Cinema Centenario has a list of films that you may find interesting to squeeze in that tight schedule this season!

On December 24, they are featuring Dagitab along with Respeto and Apocalypse Child.

Dagitab is written and directed by Giancarlo Abrahan. A drama/fantasy film, it won and was nominated for numerous times by prestigious award-giving bodies. As per IMDb, it gathered 8 wins and 15 nominations during the 38th Gawad Urian Awards (2015).

On Christmas Day, Ang Huling Cha-Cha ni Anita will be shown along with Superpsychocebu, Ang Mga Kidnaper ni Ronnie Lazaro, and Apocalypse Child.

Ang Huling Cha-Cha ni Anita is written and directed by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo. A drama/comedy film, it had 9 wins and 13 nominations from various award-giving bodies locally and internationally such as 38th Frameline San Francisco International LGBT Festival (Volunteer’s Choice Award).

Cinema Centenario is in 95 Maginhawa Street, Teacher’s Village. It recently opened and has just launched the very first Maginhawa Film Festival to showcase “the best Filipino-made movies of all genres, forms, and themes, every December”.

This cinema only accommodates 65 people for their elevated seats. Worry not about the view’s clarity-- the size is ideal for its screen with a quality 5.1 surround sound.

Should you become hungry after the screening, Maginhawa is also known for its wide array of food choices from various restaurants and food hubs. The said festival will run until December 30, 2017. More screening schedules can be found in their Facebook page.
