Mark Your Calendars, Here Are The Concerts You Should Look Forward To This Year

2018 was a good year for concert fans in Manila. We were blessed with music from Dua Lipa, Bruno Mars, Harry Styles, Paramore, Ed Sheeran, and a lot more artists from all over the world. 2019 is no different, which kicked off with the BLACKPINK 2019 World Tour and Kodaline Politics of Living Tour.

Although there have only been a few announcements as to which artists will be holding their own concerts in the country, we’ve gathered some of the best ones that we think you wouldn’t want to miss.

It’s been a while since Maroon 5’s last concert in the country so we’re thrilled when they announced that they were coming back this March to promote their latest album, Red Pill Blues. Aside from their current hits like “Girls Like You” and “What Lovers Do,” we’re also looking forward to hearing some of our favorite Maroon 5 classics: “Sunday Morning,” “She Will Be Loved,” and “This Love.”

Wanderland Music Festival

March 9 and 10, Filinvest City Event Grounds, Alabang

This 2019, the Wanderland Music and Arts Festival will be a 2-day event with more musical guests and more artists for everyone to enjoy. The complete lineup hasn’t been revealed yet but we already have our favorites from those that were already announced: Two Door Cinema Club, Honne, Masego, and SG Lewis for international acts and Unique, Reese Lansangan, and Clara Benin for local acts.

Troye Sivan The Bloom Tour

May 1, Mall of Asia Arena

The Bloom Tour is Troye Sivan’s first tour in Asia and we’re looking forward to showing him how amazing the Filipino concert crowd can be. His biggest hit, “WILD,” featuring Alessia Cara made it to Billboard’s Top 100 peaking at number 3 and he’s been releasing more hits ever since! We can’t wait to see him bloom and dance to his top hits!

Lauv Asia Tour 2019

May 20 and 21, Smart Araneta Coliseum

Lauv is returning to Manila for his first solo show after his successful performance at last year’s Wanderland Music Festival. With songs like “I Like Me Better,” “Paris in the Rain,” and “Getting Over You,” it would be hard not fall in love with his amazing talent.

He will also hold another concert at Waterfront Hotel Cebu on the 21st.

LANY Malibu Nights Tour

July 23, 24, and 25, Mall of Asia Arena

big month coming up

We're putting them on our list of must-watch concerts for 2019. Since their first show in Manila at Wanderland 2017, LANY has been a crowd favorite selling out their 2-day concert at the Araneta Coliseum last April 2018.

And just last week, as ticket selling opened, it went sold out in less than an hour. Due to popular demand, LANY added two nights (3 nights! can you believe it?) for their show in Manila. Tickets for July 25 show are already sold out. For July 23, ticket selling is yet to be announced.

It's evident that the indie pop band is very much loved here!
