The Lowdown On The Cast Of 'Crazy Rich Asians'

Author Kevin Kwan’s visit to the Philippines in August of this year was definitely, cliché as it sounds, one for the books…

By all indications, this country is crazy about the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy.

And finally, earlier this week, it was announced that the film adaptation of the first book in the series will be released in August 2018. More importantly, we got to see exclusive behind-the-scenes photos via Entertainment Weekly’s extensive feature on the film.

Entertainment Weekly also came out with a detailed online feature on each of the main characters and the actors portraying each of these roles. Of course we couldn't resist learning more about them so we just had to research some more. Here are some trivia we gathered on this decadent cast:

Henry Golding as Nick Young

Did you know? He is a very devoted husband to his wife and they just recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary!

Constance Wu as Rachel Chu

Did you know? She's a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton!

Michelle Yeoh as Eleanor Young

Did you know? Three things Michelle loves: Nature, travel, and animals!

Gemma Chan as Astrid Leong

Did you know? Gemma, like Michelle, also has a soft spot for animals and supports pro-animal welfare advocacies as much as she can.

Harry Shum Jr. as Charlie Wu

Did you know? Harry's got pretty mean ball handling skills!

Pierre Png as Michael Teo

Chris Pang as Colin Khoo

Did you know? This guy's a music festival aficionado!
