All The Movie Trailers Released This Month That You Need To See
The Internet has been abuzz with the recent release of the Cats trailer. It's ridiculous, it's campy, it's absolutely chaotic, and Jennifer Hudson's pipes are out of this world. But Cats isn't the only trailer to come out this month—in fact, five other film trailers for five other female-led movies are racking up views on YouTube! Woman empowerment, anyone?
We'll catch you up to speed with all the new releases coming out this year and next:
Mulan, in theatres March 27, 2020
Liu Yifei stars in this historical, action-packed reboot of the 1998 Disney classic. Although there seems to be no trace of everyone's beloved sassy dragon Mushu, and Captain Shang is now a completely different character, the slow-motion shot of Mulan in the air is giving us all goosebumps.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, in theatres October 17, 2019
Angelina Jolie is back as Maleficent, and this time she goes head-to-head with Queen Ingrith, played by the ever-fabulous Michelle Pfeiffer. Elle Fanning returns as Princess Aurora, and so do Maleficent's sharp-as-heck cheekbones!
Otherhood, streaming on August 2, 2019
An trio of award-winning actresses star in this film, which was originally due for release back in April. The wait seems to be worth it, though, as affectionate moments in the trailer leave us wanting more. We're all for strong female friendships and discovering oneself!
Judy, in theatres September 27, 2019
Biopics of beloved entertainers just keep on coming! First we had Freddie Mercury, then Elton John, and now Judy Garland. Renée Zellweger stars in this glitzy and heartwrenching film about the world's greatest entertainer, covering her final years, including her battle with drug addiction.

Hustlers, in theatres September 13, 2019
Talk about a powerhouse cast: Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Cardi B, Lizzo, Julia Stiles, and Lili Reinhart star alongside each other in this Ocean's Eight-meets-Magic Mike romp, inspired by a viral 2016 The Cut article. The bright neon lights and the pole dancing sequences make us so excited!
Cats, in theatres December 20, 2019
Real talk: is anyone more excited about this movie than global pop superstar Taylor Swift? This ridiculously campy and chaotic ride is directed by The King's Speech and Les Miserables director Tom Hooper, who is incredibly proud of the "digital fur technology" that makes this movie.
