EXCLUSIVE: Louis Vuitton Unveils Biggest Store in the Philippines in Ayala Malls Makati, Greenbelt 3

Louis Vuitton is pleased to announce the opening of its latest store in the newest luxury wing of Ayala Malls Makati, Greenbelt 3. Exploring a beautiful journey surrounded by the country’s rich and colorful cultural heritage within its 665-sqm space, it is Louis Vuitton’s biggest store in the Philippines. 

Travel Paradise

Inspired by Louis Vuitton’s Spirit of Travel and intertwined with local elements, the store has special features that are unique to a traditional Filipino home.

To give life to these local touches inside the store, Louis Vuitton has collaborated with Filipino designers and sisters Stephanie Kienle Gonzalez and Jessica Kienle Maxwell of Philux. The design inspiration for the Greenbelt 3 store is the woven heritage of the country spread across its 7,107  islands—each thread a metaphor of the Philippines’ intrinsically diverse history, culture, and aspirations. 

This local motif is exquisitely elaborated through wall accents and artworks that are reminiscent of  the Filipino habi, or traditional weave-making. The store’s architecture further evokes a cultural  grandness reinterpreted in a modern way. 

The ceiling panels are made of raffia and saguran (textile made from the fiber of local leaves), with the women’s leather goods area showcasing bamboo teardrop lamps made by local craftsmen. The private lounge’s sliding doors mimic capiz (shell-like material) windows often found in traditional provincial family homes. Rugs with designs that echo complex tribal tattoo designs line up several of the store’s key selling areas.

The store is a destination in itself as guests are welcomed into a breezy tropical cabana, with the House’s codes subtly integrated into the glass panels surrounding the store. 

Local and International Artworks

Distinct colorful patterns that are hung around the walls of the store are Filipino artworks made using  strips of acrylic, handwoven abaca polyester fabric, and a tasteful mix of cord, rope and tapestry.  Artworks by French painter Zelie Belcour and Portuguese painter Carla Sa Fernandes both showcase  a colorful ensemble while a centerpiece of metal on wood by English painter Russell Frampton are also displayed prominently in the store. Belcour’s vibrant artwork is showcased in Greenbelt 3’s private lounge where clients enjoy an intimate and discreet shopping experience.

Complete Women's and Men's Categories

The femininity and sophistication of Louis Vuitton is highlighted in the complete and extensive selection for women, from the latest Ready-To-Wear to the best selection of leather goods where they can discover the latest collections from Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Women’s Collections. This expanded space also has the Capucines Wall, one of the first in South Asia, to display the latest pieces of this iconic bag.

Greenbelt 3 brings in for the first time a complete men’s selection, welcoming clients to view the latest  from Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Men’s Collections. 

Hardsided and Objet Nomades Offerings

Unique hardsided pieces such as the Louis Vuitton Sneaker Trunk and The Malle Maison Vivienne  will be displayed at the travel area of the store for a limited period during the opening. 

Selected Objets Nomades pieces will also be available for the first time in the Philippines. This collection of travel-inspired furniture made in collaboration with international renowned designers  including the Cocoon by Fernando & Humberto Campana and the Spiral Lamps by Atelier Oi pays homage to Louis Vuitton’s special orders of the past. 

Private Lounge

For a peaceful respite, a deluxe, spacious private lounge is designed to host appointments for a  highly personalized and exclusive shopping experience. This private lounge, which has its own dressing area, brings tranquility to clients who are presented with key pieces across the Men’s and  Women’s Collections.

Exclusive Manila Hot Stamp

Personalization has always been a trademark for Louis Vuitton. For the opening, a hot stamp design—inspired by the emblems from the Philippine flag—will be exclusively available at the store.

LOUIS VUITTON GREENBELT 3 is located at the Ground Floor, Ayala Malls Esperanza Street, Makati City. Its hours of operation are 11 AM to 9 PM  from Monday – Sunday.
