The Philux x Voice Of The Free Partnership Will Inspire You To Do More And Be More In Society
As organizations helmed by leading women, homegrown furniture and decor brand Philux and Philippine non-profit Voice of the Free have come to stand for the importance of raising awareness on social issues that specifically affect women and children.

In an exciting new partnership, they have come together to fight for the nationally pressing, but sadly under-addressed, concerns involving human and sex trafficking, forced and child labor, debt bondage, and even modern-day slavery, and domestic servitude of Filipinos.
Together, Philux ladies Stephanie Kienle-Gonzalez and Jessica Kienle-Maxwell alongside Voice of the Free's Cecilia Flores Oebanda assert the fact that the battle to protect children and women is still ongoing. And only with the efforts of more supporters can it be finally won; only when there is heightened awareness and a more impassioned desire to be agents of change can they take full advantage of society's desire to help.
Cecilia—who established her advocacy with the Visayan Forum, Voice of the Free's predecessor—has been hard at work since 1991. Even before the digital age, the breaking down of taboos relating to the necessary discussion of the exploitation of women and children, or the interest of private companies to lend a helping hand, this headstrong woman was already out to make a difference.

Today, Voice of the Free can boast of 400 government and private partners, one of whom is the stylish Katie Ford, Ford Model Inc.'s former CEO who led the company for 12 successful years. Having worked with and for women for the bulk of her professional life, Katie's heart lied in supporting causes that protected vulnerable girls and women. She specifically supports Voice of the Free's Center for Hope, a program developed to rehabilitate survivors of human trafficking and help them reintegrate into society.
Katie's most recent talk about her advocacy took place in Manila House last April. There, she delivered a moving presentation in an event organized by Filipina beauty queen-turned-pilot Gemith Gemparo, another supporter of these causes.
