Here’s How You Can Contribute To The Taal Eruption Relief Efforts

If you want to donate and offer a helping hand to those affected by the eruption of the Taal Volcano, here’s how you can do so

On the afternoon of Sunday, January 12, the previously asleep Taal Volcano rumbled to life and spewed out ash and steam in a phreatic eruption lasting until Sunday evening. Ash fall reached as far as Central Luzon, displacing residents closest to the volcano and affecting families as far as 100 kilometers away. While the ash fall in the metro has subsided, the volcano is still on Alert Level 4, which means a hazardous eruption within days is imminent. Batangueños are still in evacuation centers, with most of their homes, livestock, and livelihood covered in thick ashes. The entire province has also been placed under a state of calamity. If you’re looking to donate—whether money, in kind, or your time—below is a list you can refer to.
