Think Before You Screencap! Instagram Might Now Notify People When You Take A Screenshot Of Their Stories
The day we’ve been dreading might have finally arrived: Instagram may now notify people when you take a screenshot of their stories.
No official announcement has been released yet, but we discovered this when we tried to screencap an Instagram story and were alerted with a pop-up banner. It said: Next time you take a screenshot or screen recording, the person who posted the story will be able to see. (Well, we guess it was fun stalking people while it lasted.) Kidding aside, while the update is still being tested on a small percentage of users, it is likely that the new feature will be rolled out soon.
This is just one of the many updates the social networking app has made to Instagram stories. On a happier note, brand new fonts were introduced to make the 24-hour photo sharing feature even more fun. Here's a rundown of the new typefaces that you can experiment with:
You can even add GIF stickers to your posts!
For those who prefer sharing text-only content on Instagram stories, the app also rolled out the "Type mode", which you can customize to your liking.
Finally, get ready to bid adieu to cropped photos—you can now resize images before adding them to your stories!
