After Ticket Sales Go Live, U2 Announces Additional Dates For 'Joshua Tree' Tour 2019

In 2017, U2 celebrated the 30th anniversary their seminal album from 1987, Joshua Tree, with a world tour that was met with great success. Last month, the Irish rock band announced that after a brief hiatus, they are extending The Joshua Tree Tour with another leg around Australia and Asia at the end of this year. Tickets have officially gone on sale, and the response has forced the band to add second shows in Auckland, Sydney, and as of today, Singapore.

U2 was originally slated to play their first-ever gig in Singapore for one night only at the National Stadium on November 30th. Unless you had access to Monday’s fan pre-sale as a U2.com subscriber, tickets to the Singapore show went live at 10am this morning. And just as was the case with the Auckland and Sydney shows, opening day sales have been so overwhelming that U2 added a second show to their Singapore stop on December 1st.

If you weren’t able to snag a ticket to the first show, don’t fret—tickets to the second concert are not yet on sale. U2.com subscribers are once again eligible to purchase a maximum of 4 tickets in advance through the fan pre-sale beginning tomorrow, while the general sale will open to the public on Monday, June 24 at 10am PHT/SGT, with an 8 ticket limit for each sale. Tickets are available via Live Nation Singapore.

As for the rest of their Asia leg, tickets to the Seoul show are already available for purchase, while sales to the two shows at the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo will begin on Saturday, July 20 at 9AM PHT/10AM JST

Here’s to hoping they’ll further extend the tour to other cities in Asia!
