7 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Miss "How To Train Your Dragon: Hidden World" In Cinemas
Hiccup and Toothless are back!
The third and final installment in the franchise, How To Train Your Dragon: Hidden World is a movie you shouldn't miss this month. We got the chance to see the film before its release. Here are the reasons why we think this could be one of the best animated films of 2019.
1. You're in for an exciting adventure.
As Hiccup and Toothless continue to save captured dragons, they are exposing Berk more and more and it puts their home into sudden danger. Hiccup and Toothless must go on a journey to find the Hidden World in order to save their tribe and everything they treasure.
2. You'll see a different side of Toothless.
We all know that he is a brave, friendly, and an adorable companion to Hiccup but at the course of the film, you'll see a vulnerable, responsible, and even braver alpha dragon as he makes difficult choices even if it means his lasting friendship with Hiccup would be put at risk.
3. ...and a more mature Hiccup.
Chosen to lead the vikings at Berk, Hiccup thinks he could save all the dragons he can find. Doing something for the creatures he love could be heroic, but he will be tested as his beloved village and his loved ones will be threathened by a dangerous opponent.
4. Another Night Fury!
Toothless discovers that he is not the only one of his kind left in the world when he meets a lady Night Fury; both are quickly charmed by each other. But more than that, she will show Toothless a world where their likes could live at peace and far from danger—a legend Hiccup's father believes in.
5. You'll meet an infamous, smart, and totally evil villain.
We have his name: Grimmel.
He is notorious, and has the "power" to control dragons, making them like puppets that bow to whatever he says, even if it means a life could be spared. He is on a mission to kill Night Furies and to him, it is all a game.
6. You'll witness a battle.
Flying on wing suits, chasing in mid-air, this particular part in the film shouldn't be missed as you will see how strong the bond (or shall we say, love?) between Hiccup and the dragons is as they defeat an infamous hunter.
7. You must bring tissues because it's total tear-jerker.
As the battle ends, Hiccup realizes it's time to finally set his best friend free to protect his kind. The dragons have served humans enough that it's time to look after their own. They might not see each other for a long time but he knows he is doing the right thing.
The film features the voices of Jay Baruchel as Hiccup, America Ferrera as Astrid, F. Murray Abraham as Grimmel, Cate Blanchett as Valka, and Gerard Butler as Stoick the Vast. It is produced by Dreamworks Animation and directed by Dean DeBlois.
How To Train your Dragon: Hidden World currently tops the Philippine box-office, it opened at No.1 with P91.5-million in a five-day opening weekend (from February 20-24)
