Messenger Adds Snapchat-Style Screenshot Update
The update comes with the launch of new end-to-end encryption features
Yesterday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a new update for end-to-end encrypted Messenger chats: you now get notified every time someone screenshots your disappearing messages.
More features have been added, too: GIFs, stickers, and reactions are now available if you decide to use encrypted chats. To opt in, swipe up in a chat box to activate vanish mode, or toggle the lock icon when you’re starting a new chat.
The update is expected to be rolling out over the next few weeks, as per The Verge.
