Many are patrons of Patis. They felt her work deserved this stage.</p><div><br/></div><p><em>Filipiniana is Forever</em> is not just a runway spectacle, it is both a tribute and a fundraiser. Over a career spanning five decades, Patis resurrected piña fabric in the country and continues to champion handcraft as the heart of her design process. Equally important, her studio team is composed of 90 percent of women from artisanal communities, reflecting her lifelong commitment to empowering Filipino craftsmanship.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1760073419003192A6976.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>The collection itself ranges from everyday to formal, featuring <em>dasters </em>or house dresses elevated with handwoven textures, patchwork, and hand embroidery. Maria Clara gowns stand as key highlights, joined by kimono jackets inspired by Freddie Mercury and hand-painted <em>barongs</em>. With ninety-five percent of the pieces made by hand, the collection reflects Tesoro’s devotion to craftsmanship, infusing each garment with depth and character.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1760073443524192A6743.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>A benefit show implies purpose beyond fashion.
