<p>Every year, the <strong>Met Gala </strong>delivers show-stopping fashion, but the 2026 theme takes it to another level. Titled <strong>Costume Art</strong>, the gala and its accompanying exhibition put the dressed body at the center, inviting visitors to see clothing as an essential part of art and history.</p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1763451490172Poster.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/></div><p>The exhibition will be the first to open in the Met’s new permanent galleries, pairing nearly 200 works of art with 200 garments and accessories. Renata Buzzo’s “Corset Anatomia” turns an anatomical drawing by Gérard Lairesse into a soft sculptural form that feels intimate and surreal. Mon. Vignon’s sweeping evening dress reflects Carpeaux’s impression of Amélie de Montfort through its silhouette and dramatic volume.
