It&#39;s the very reason why they&#39;re on our list! This 2026, we&#39;re navigating the new year together with the industry&#39;s brightest and most stylish. Less things but better things</strong></div><p>As a general rule at 56, its quality over quantity. In all areas of my life! Scaling down but in an intentional, mindful way, to quiet the noise&mdash;even in fashion. But with occasional injections of fun, just to keep things current &amp; exciting!&nbsp;</p><div><br></div><div><strong>2. Style with a soul</strong></div><p>I love items with a story or a history. I always include a thing or two in my outfit, and most definitely in my wardrobe, that means something to me&mdash;an accessory from my Grandma, my layers of pendants that each tell a story or is a memento, a jacket from a vintage store that I&rsquo;ve adorned with brooches from an estate sale, etc! I love the mix &amp; match, the high &amp; low, the soft &amp; rugged&mdash;I personalize all my looks. I have fun! More of this this year.</p><div><br></div><div><strong>3. Reuse and repurpose</strong></div><p>Be mindful about limiting my disposable fashion pieces&mdash;and it&rsquo;s not about buying logos or designer pieces. I don&rsquo;t like brand logos from head to toe, that&rsquo;s never ever been my style. Less gimmicky, more intentional</strong></div><p>Choosing authentic pieces over mainstream, trend-driven fashion, and dressing with purpose rather than for the moment.</p><div><br></div><div><strong>3. Evolving femininity &amp; personalization</strong></div><p>Trends should adapt to individual style, comfort, and personality. I have already started by following the<strong>&nbsp;3 Rs: reduce, reuse, and recycle.</strong> I have been finding treasures in my own closet and loving the vintage feel of outfits from 20 years ago. These are definitely unique and unmatched!</p><p>2026 is about <strong>accessorizing</strong>! Use a choker to dress up a white shirt. Roll up your sleeves and wear your bangles. Use a nice belt for your neutrals! A vintage brooch brings drama to your LBD!</p><p>Every year, it&#39;s denims for me. I never get tired of denims. You can dress down or dress it up. Theres nothing you cant do with denim pants. You can wear sneakers with it for mall days. You can wear stilettos for nightout. Heels for presence, flats for the reality of my day</strong></div><p>Heels instantly refine an outfit and I love how they change my posture at events. It&rsquo;s my little indulgence. But my everyday includes driving, errands, and school pick-ups, so I always have flats in the car. That&rsquo;s how I manage both comfort and polish without sacrificing either.</p><div><br></div><div><strong>2. Dressing for different rooms and roles</strong></div><p>I often move through multiple settings in a day and each one has its own dress code. Solid colors and cleaner palettes make that easier because they restyle well. Swapping a tailored bottom for denim, or switching heels for ballet flats or sneakers, can shift the whole look. It keeps my packing light and my styling intentional.</p><div><br></div><div><strong>3. Fitness influencing my fashion choices</strong></div><p>Training has made me more attuned to fit and fabrication. I gravitate toward pieces with structure, stretch, and breathable blends that still look elevated. Tailored separates, rib knits, and slimmer sneakers are becoming essentials because they work on busy days without losing shape. Embrace dopamine dressing.</p><p>I think for a really long time I dressed to make sure that I looked good, that it fit well, which of course matters, you know, it was like about how good do I look, but I think this year is more about how good do I feel. I want to start wearing things that make me feel radiant and happy, and even if it&rsquo;s like not necessarily like a sexy outfit, but it&rsquo;s like it makes me happy, I want to do more color, more fun cuts, more fun prints, things that bring me joy. So really choosing clothing that make me happy, whether that&rsquo;s sentimental or even for like it&rsquo;s cozy and comfortable. But yes, definitely adding more color!</p><div><br></div><p>2. Explore secondhand items and pre-loved items.</p><p>I love Ulla Johnson. That&rsquo;s one of my favorite brands, but it is pricey, so I always wait for it to go on sale. But I have been going to their really extremely well-curated, official pre-loved website, and it&rsquo;s been such a joy to think that somebody else&rsquo;s clothes that they don&rsquo;t use anymore or don&rsquo;t like anymore, it&rsquo;s been kept in good condition, that I can give it new life and new appreciation. So really exploring other brands who do that, not just abroad, but obviously here in the Philippines too.</p><div><br></div><p>3. Shop my closet</p><p>I have so much stuff in there and I recognize that I&rsquo;ve been holding on to some things that don&rsquo;t really fit so well anymore because I&rsquo;ve gained a few pounds. So really being able to focus on my health and my wellness and my fitness journey so that I can go back to, I wouldn&rsquo;t say like three sizes ago or two sizes, just so that things can feel a little bit better and I don&rsquo;t feel like I have to buy new things. I want to be able to shop the full range of my closet and find some gems and be a bit more creative instead of thinking that I have to find new outfits. I know my closet has a lot of gems in there.</p>
