<p><strong>Sunnies</strong> is officially in Thailand. The Filipino lifestyle brand we’ve loved since 2013 is conquering Southeast Asia, one vibrant city at a time. Think thick cat eye frames paired with a bold red lip, that was Sunnies for me 13 years ago. That fantasy still lives on up to this day, this time around there&#x27;s a whole world of Sunnies to explore.</p><div><br/></div><p>From <strong>Sunnies Studios</strong> with both sunglasses and optical wear, record-breaking makeup <strong></strong>from<strong> Sunnies Face</strong>, the customizable and ever-charming <strong>Sunnies Flask</strong>, to the rich, aromatic drinks at <strong>Sunnies Coffee</strong>, the brand’s growth reflects an understanding of how people move through their daily lives. The bustling tropical country shares our sense of community and how we see beauty in the ordinary. Known for their thoughtful concept stores and love for shopping, Thai people are tastemakers in their own right! </p><div><br/></div><p>During the brand’s welcome dinner at Charmkrung, <strong>Georgina Wilson-Burnand </strong>shared a short message with a select group of guests and longtime friends of the brand from Bangkok and Manila. Her words truly resonated with me and set the tone for the rest of the festivities. “The movers and shakers of Asia are in this room. They now look to us—Southeast Asians—to define what’s cool. These spaces are found in <strong>Central Ladprao</strong>, <strong>Central Rama 9</strong>, <strong>Fashion Island</strong>, <strong>Central Chidlom</strong>, and now its largest location to date, <strong>Sunnies World Central Park Dusit</strong>. Designed as both a retail destination and a place to gather, it unites all Sunnies brands under one roof. </p><div><br/></div><p>Apart from the pieces we know and love, <strong>Martine Cajucom-Ho</strong> shares that they&#x27;re excited to launch exclusives only available in Sunnies Thailand. “A lot of our favorite merch are made in our specific Thailand colors. There’s this really cheerful chartreuse color, we call it Durian. And then the pink is called Memphis. We really want the Thai colors to be these neon electric colors that feel current and vibrant because for me that’s what the city feels like.” If there’s one thing Sunnies is known for, it’s their thoughtful use of color in design. It’s only fitting that the Sunnies Flask is one of the top-selling products across all branches in Bangkok.</p><div><br/></div><p>As for the beauty front, <strong>Jess Wilson-Gastl</strong> is thrilled to see Sunnies Face makeup looks from all over Thailand. “Thai people are known for their dewy base, blush that is applied high for a lifted look, and gradient or blurred lips. Before coming to Bangkok for the grand launch, we knew we had to collaborate with the country’s top makeup artists,” Jess continues, “I like the similarities and differences of our technique and theirs. It’s endearing to see these creatives use Sunnies Face to their Thai clients.”</p><div><br/><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1769787047173260129SUNNIESWORLD-003.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner">Sunnies World in Central Park Dusit, Bangkok, Thailand</span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>The store sits on a beautiful location at the mall. It’s the only store on the second floor of Central Park Dusit that has an expansive view of the city. Add to that the countless spots where you can take photos in every angle (Yes, even from above! Make sure to check out the bathtub positioned near Sunnies Face).</p><div><br/></div><p><strong>Eric Dee</strong> remembers when they first opened the very first store in Bangkok, October 2025 last year. There was no big announcement, everything was organic. “It was really nice to see the Thai people picking up the products, trying on the sunglasses, swatching the makeup, and building their own flasks. We were standing outside the store and we were in tears,” Eric continues, “This is 12 years in the making and to see it in a different country… seeing it being accepted and liked, is something we are very very proud of.”</p><div><br/></div><p>The launch of Sunnies in Thailand resonates beyond borders. <strong>Bea Soriano-Dee</strong> is eager to share this milestone with her fellow Filipinos. “Every product you can see on the shelf is designed and developed by a Filipino. This is such an exciting time for us because we’re so happy that we can finally share Sunnies to an even bigger community. With Thailand being an international hub for creatives, this is high time for people to discover Filipino products.
