Stay tuned on April 11 for the full interview.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Metro: How did the Coachella setting influence your style direction for BINI’s performance compared to their other performances and tours?</strong></div><div><br/></div><p><strong>Ica Villanueva</strong>: &quot;Coachella, being one of the most iconic global stages, naturally elevated the pressure to redefine BINI’s visual identity. There was a strong intention to present something new—something that evolves their established influence in fashion while still remaining true to their core branding.</p><p>The setting itself played a crucial role in shaping the direction. We had to consider the desert climate—light, breathable, and performance-ready materials were essential—while still delivering impact from a distance. We were also very conscious of how we wanted to introduce them to a new, global audience, ensuring that the looks aligned seamlessly with the narrative of their latest album, “Signals.”</p><p>The following months became an exercise in refinement. We worked closely with the designers and the girls, shaping the silhouettes, challenging proportions, and continuously presenting to management to ensure alignment. Once the direction was approved, we moved into sourcing and experimentation—really pushing textures and techniques to achieve something that felt both intentional and elevated.</p><p>By early March, fittings were happening alongside rehearsals—everything moving at an accelerated pace, almost instinctively.
