Look: Jasmine Curtis Wore This Gucci Look Even Before Yoon Se Ri In ‘CLOY’

Right before the all the K-Drama hype on the series, our Metro girl Jasmine Curtis-Smith got first dibs on this plaid look as she wore it on the pages of Metro even before Yoon Se Ri! We have the full story

Since the hit K-Drama Crash Landing On You reaching full fashion status, everybody’s been so obsessed with the lead character Yoon Se Ri’s stellar runway looks. One particular look, which we’ve seen over and over again on the opening credits, is this blue plaid Gucci pantsuit that also appeared in a fashion editorial in Metro worn by Jasmine Curtis-Smith, even before the drama’s release.

The pantsuit, from the Gucci Fall/Winter 2019 collection, is actually an oversized blazer worn on top of a structured jumpsuit of the same fabric. On the runway look, it was worn with a white buttondown and black necktie, topped of with a pair of red boots.

The two girls were seen with their different takes on the look. For Yoon Se Ri on the show, the she kept most of most of the elements of the original look, changing the black tie into a red one and opting for a pair of black knee-high boots. One key piece she retained is the same bag, the Gucci Sylvie 1969 top-handle bag.

In Metro’s fashion editorial with Jasmine, we opted for a sexier version, getting rid of the button down and showing more skin, lifted up by a gold chain belt. While Yoon Se Ri kept it feminine, our hint of androgyny on Jasmine gave it a different life.

The shoot came out in Metro’s September 2019 anniversary issue, where favorite Metro cover stars served as models for every shoot in the issue. CLOY was released in Dec 2019. While the both girls rocked the look in their own ways, no one wore it better than the other—it’s the personality that gives the look variety.
