Ever since the first Barbie trailer was released with the iconic scene of Margot Robbie floating out of her dreamhouse, everyone has been excited to see what looks the Barbie movie had in store for each character.

With the movie premiering last July 19 in the Philippines, it is safe to say that the costume design of the Barbie movie far exceeded anyone’s expectations. While Margot Robbie’s Stereotypical Barbie role had the most looks, every other Barbie in the film had iconic looks of their own. Each ensemble was catered to their distinct characteristics and personalities. The various outfits shown in the movie were able to show the united identity that is ‘Barbie’ while still highlighting each of their differences.

From Weird Barbie’s playful outfits to Journalist Barbie’s crisp look, the costumes in this film were nothing short of varied and unique. In the gallery below, we have put together a list of the best ensembles each Barbie wore in the movie. Take a look and tell us which one you love the most!

- Margot Robbie played the lead role in the Barbie movie as the Stereotypical Barbie. She’s everything you’d think a Barbie would be with her beach blonde hair and upbeat personality.

- Her pink and white gingham dress styled with daisy accessories and her hot pink cowgirl look were her most iconic looks from the movie!

- What is Barbieland without a president? Issa Rae was the perfect cast to lead the Barbie government as President Barbie. While she is never seen without her Presidential sash, our favorite outfit of hers is the pink sweetheart gown with gold lace details. It simply reminded us of the dresses many of our favorite 2000s Barbies would wear!

- Kate Mckinnon had the role of Weird Barbie, which represented the Barbies that little girls would draw on, cut, and experiment with. She is the Barbie that is played too roughly with. Her clothing matched her personality, especially this hot pink dress with colorful abstract patterns on it and a dash of neon tulle underneath.

- In Barbieland, Barbies conquer not just the land, but also the plastic blue sea. The Mermaid Barbies seen in the movie were all played by Dua Lipa. Each of her Barbies had colorful hair that was worn to look like the synthetic hair of actual Barbie Dolls. Of course, each of the mermaid’s bikini tops and tails just had to match their hair colors!

- Writer Barbie was played by Alexandra Shipp. This Barbie is one of the Nobel Prize-winning Barbies. Her beach look of purples and yellows looked so clean yet so playful as well. Not to mention how her laptop was a light lavender hue to match her overall look.

- How else would the Barbies hear about news if it weren’t for Journalist Barbie played by Ritu Arya? This Pulitzer-winning Barbie is so determined that she was the lead reporter even during the reign of the Kens. Her light yellow suit in this scene was so well-tailored and we thought that it perfectly complemented the pink microphone and camera!

- Whenever any of the Barbies need saving or healing, Doctor Barbie is there to help. Hari Nef played the healer in the Barbie Movie and while she has many good looks, we loved this one the most. In this neon pink and green mini dress, she showed us that no matter what profession you are, you can never have too much fun with your looks.

- Physicist Barbie played by Emma Mackey is another Barbie whose work garnered her a Nobel Prize.

- Although she has only a few shots in the film, her light green tube dress with pink detailing to match her pink headband is definitely her best look in the movie.

- Sharon Rooney had the role of Lawyer Barbie who showed us how to kick it in the courtroom, but also kickback at the beach. While her court look was classic, we think that this blue ensemble with rope details in both her outfit and earrings is her most unique look!

- As the film headed towards its ending, we got the most satisfying shot of all the Barbies uniting together to reclaim Barbieland in the chicest pink jumpsuit. From its flattering cut and the ribbon on its waist to the different pink headbands on each Barbie, this look was the perfect way to wrap it all up!
