#MetroStyleWatch: All The Luxe Holiday Looks At The 2018 British Fashion Awards
On Monday evening, The British Fashion Council gathered the industry’s finest at the 2018 Fashion Awards held at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Celebrating the best of fashion, the ceremony gave recognition to the likes of Gucci, who nabbed the Brand of the Year award; Pierpaolo Piccioli, Maison Valentino's Creative Director, who took home the Designer of the Year Award, and Miuccia Prada, who received the Outstanding Achievement Award.
As expected, the red carpet arrivals were nothing short of a spectacle. From Alexa Chung’s dainty velour number to Kendall Jenner’s sheer, high-slit gown and every powerful pantsuit in between, the 2018 Fashion Awards produced high-luxe looks that might just inspire you in time for the grandeur of the holidays.

But if you’re looking to steal the scene without much fuss, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle could be your go-to inspo (with or without a baby bump,) who came as a surprise presenter of the British Designer of the Year Award for Womenswear. Her black one-shouldered velvet column gown by Givenchy was a stand-out among the sea of sparkling frocks that night.
