Traveling Soon? Here Are 10+ Chic, Comfortable Celebrity Outfits To Inspire Your Next Airport #OOTD!
The heat is on, new trends are emerging, and airfare promo deals are popping left and right. We all know what these mean—it's time to book your next vacation getaway, because summer is officially upon us!
Here at METRO, we believe that a truly stylish woman is fashionable anytime, anywhere—whether it be in the office, at brunch, in a party, or even while traveling! Take it from our METRO Magazine cover girls Heart Evangelista and Kim Jones, who are tied at Top 1 in this year's list of METRO Most Stylish Women. Artist, actress, and social media influencer Heart graced the magazine cover donning a sophisticated ensemble on board a jet plane. Meanwhile, digital creative and entrepreneur Kim was clad in a classic, all-white number inside a private yacht. Even while in transit, these women embody what it means to be a stylish METRO woman!

This week, we shine the spotlight on airport OOTDs. As previously mentioned in our 2018 airport style watch, the first step to traveling in style is mastering the (challenging) art of looking fashionable while in transit. While no one expects you to spend long layovers wearing a form-fitting dress and stilettos, you wouldn't want to be seen donning rugged flip-flops either. Who knows who you might bump into at the terminal? A friend, a VIP, a business partner, or who knows—maybe even a future partner! (Our digital cover girl and bride-to-be Camille Co once told Metro.Style that she met her fiancé on a flight bound for Bacolod.)

Ahead, we've compiled stylish celebrity jet-setters in chic, casual outfits. For your dose of fashion inspiration, keep scrolling!
Wearing a light trench coat a la Martine Ho is a sure way to elevate any outfit. One can sport even the most basic outfit inside—say, a black top and comfy leggings—but layer it with a stylish trench coat, and you're sure to turn heads in the terminal. It's also one way to stay warm inside the freezing cabin!
Nothing can go wrong with a well-tailored, black outfit—take it from Gemma Chan. The Crazy Rich Asians star was clad in a monochromatic jumpsuit, paired with leather boots and an abstract Louis Vuitton hand bag. To keep the look laid-back and relaxed, she styled her tresses in subtle beach waves.
Kelsey Merritt, the first Filipina Victoria's Secret Model, knows that one doesn't have to ditch style for comfort. To add oomph to her casual outfit (oversized, white turtle neck paired with no-fail leggings), she sported standout Balenciaga Triple S sneakers. Blogger Kryz Uy, who recently got married to Slater Young in Cebu, is making a case for monochromatic beige outfits. The style influencer paired a white top with high-waisted beige pants, and added minimalist, gold accessories. For a quirky touch, she wore white socks with a heart print—the perfect peek-a-boo detail for this chic and casual OOTD.

Laid-back yet all dressed-up, former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach sported bright purple coordinates paired with comfortable dad sneakers. Staying on trend, she also wore a Dior saddle bag, the '90s it-bag which made a major comeback last year.Photo: @piawurtzbach
Anne Curtis Smith
Anne Curtis, 2018's Top 1 Metro Most Stylish Woman, spent her long layover in a relaxed, cozy outfit—an all-black number paired with sneakers! For a pop of color, she donned a fuzzy red beanie, which kept her hair in place.
Style influencer Vern Enciso roamed the Hong Kong International Airport in a comfy utlitarian jumpsuit and ballet flats! She also sported a Carolina Herrera Insignia bag, a New York Fashion Week favorite.
Jinkee Pacquiao, who recently went on a trip to Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, spends her layovers in cozy airport lounges. She was spotted wearing a chic oversized hoodie, leggings, and stylish Gucci sneakers.

A flattering pair of jeans is a travel must-have, and fashion stylist Liz Uy knows this to be true. She was even clad in a denim-on-denim number worthy of a double-take! Liz styled a basic black turtleneck with a denim kimono and printed Fendi jeans—a fun look that's anything but basic.
Finally, 2018 Hip and Happening Mom Cat Arambulo-Antonio made a sartorial statement in an all-black number. The vlogger, reality TV judge, entrepreneur, and frequent traveler sported a completely comfortable yet chic outfit. She wore long sleeves, jeggings, a scarf, and a military cap—all in her favorite color. To top off her signature look, she pulled along an all-black carry-on luggage, too!
