Drew Barrymore Gifted With Two Earrings From The Same Filipino Designer

Drew Barrymore is one lucky, earrings lover! During the ‘Santa Clarita Diet’ Season 2 press junket in Manila, she fawned over the accessories of lifestyle reporter Marie Lozano, and TV Host Lyn Ching-Pascual, which prompted both interviewers to generously gift their earrings to her. But here’s the amazing twist, both earrings were from Ken Samudio, the internationally-acclaimed Filipino accessories designer.

 

The first to give her pair was Lyn, who is a ‘solid fan’ of Drew since the actress’ ET days. In Lyn’s Instagram account, she is seen wearing the Matthew And Melka’s (Ken Samudio’s diffusion line) Fleur Earrings in Blanc, as she stands next to Drew, and actor Timothy Olyphant.

A few hours later, as Drew arrives in the Megamall premiere of ‘Santa Clarita Diet’, she is seen wearing the same Fleur earrings, which she proudly wore before an excited crowd.

Meanwhile, during Marie Lozano’s interview with the co-actors, Drew had excitedly asked Marie where she got her statement, seahorse earrings. “I need [the designer’s] name,” says Drew. “I’m obsessed with earrings, that’s my thing right now.” At which point, Marie reveals that the designer is Ken Samudio, and then offered Drew her earrings.

“[Drew] didn’t have to convince me!” says Marie. “She was so sweet. She complimented my earrings at the beginning of the interview, so at the end I told her she may have it.”

 

 

And you know what’s kind of surprising? After obsessing with Lyn Ching’s @matthewandmelka Fleur earrings—-Marie Lozano’s seahorse earrings which I designed for my Ken Samudio brand also took Drew Barrymore’s attention not knowing they were both designed by me. How lucky can one get? Thank you @iammarielozano for wearing it with such confidence no one cannot not notice :)

Marie had then immediately shared the story to Ken, with a screenshot of herself with Drew holding up his mother-of-pearl seahorse earrings. “I am over the moon!” says Ken, who received the exciting news in the middle of an important meeting. “Drew didn’t even know both earrings were from the same designer. So it really is a charming story.”

 

Thankfully, Drew managed to immediately get in touch with Ken right after the interview. He says, “Marie was kind enough to connect us, and we were able to send Drew a few of our bestselling pieces.”

 

We’ll definitely be on the lookout on Drew’s feed for more fantastic earrings, and hopefully spot more of Ken’s amazing pieces.
