EXCLUSIVE: Harlan + Holden Launches Their First Gender Neutral Store And Time-Saving Pieces
Find out more about Harlan + Holden's one step clothing and take a virtual tour of their newest and first gender neutral concept store.
Time is finite and Harlan + Holden knows exactly how you can get the most out of it. Founded in 2015 in Manila, the brand has now grown into an international line with 20 retail stores spread across the Philippines, South Korea, Indonesia and online.
In this Metro.Style exclusive, we sat down with Orange Sulisto, CEO of Harlan + Holden Indonesia and had a sneak peak of what's in store for us. “Right from the start, the brand’s singular mission is to save people time for things that matter,” says Orange. “We want our customers to be able to free up their minds and get things done.” Harlan + Holden makes clothing that are one step, fuss-free, and incredibly versatile for work or play.
Designed according to their customer’s daily routine, each piece features minute details that are paramount in building someone’s efficient wardrobe. With less zippers, buttons, or clasps, dressing up in Harlan + Holden is just one step. Think of pieces that you can effortlessly slip on and never have to worry about throughout your day! The brand listened to their customers in order to create pieces that they themselves will use for a long time. From loosening up the garters of their crop elastic tops to lowering the pockets of a button down shirt for easier access, Harlan + Holden finds joy in creating clothes that solve rather than adorn.
Harlan + Holden’s new 03 collection highlights their one-step clothing innovations and modular pieces for every day. True to the brand’s form, the color palette is centered on neutral tones of sand, rust, cream, and gray with electric colors of fluo yellow and mint for the right amount of buzz. From crop elastic tops, button down shirts with slits, and open-back dresses for women to pocket tees, chino pants, and shackets (shirt + jacket) for men, the brand invites everyone to go out of their homes and roam the streets in these new normal must-haves.
Along with this release, the brand also launched a capsule leisurewear collection called Ain’t Got Time For That. “Typical Harlan + Holden pieces are made of cotton, twills, and poplins. This new capsule collection has soft jersey and pique in the form of unisex sweatshirts, hoodies, and joggers,” says Orange.
On top of this, Harlan + Holden expands their reach by opening their newest and first gender neutral concept store in Plaza Indonesia. Synonymous to the brand’s ethos, the facade of the store greets customers with a clean and minimalistic fluted panel wall. "We get 5 to 10 tagged Instagram posts everyday because of our sleek facade! We're happy that our customers appreciate the details we put into making our store and our clothes," says Orange.
The interiors are finished with neutral backdrops, curved retail displays, silver stainless racks, and plenty of room to peruse the brand’s selection of womenswear and menswear. The best part? Customers can both enjoy clothing and coffee with seating capacities for Because Coffee is just next door.
