While nothing has been confirmed yet, we completely understand where the speculations might have come from—after all, the plot of China Rich Girlfriend is mostly set in China (obviously!), and the celebrity has been staying in the country for more than a week.

Last year, it was also revealed that Heart auditioned for the role of Araminta Lee in Crazy Rich Asians—unfortunately, she did not get cast. However, she was spotted walking around Paris with Crazy Rich Asians author Kevin Kwan, igniting rumors that she could be starring in the movie sequel.
The speculations circulated once again when Albert Kurniawan?, Heart's go-to makeup artist, posted a photo of the actress on Instagram:

Heart also hinted that she was working on a "top secret" project when she uploaded a photo on the same day:
I looked out my window today, [and] I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Here I am about to embark on an adventure like no other and I couldn’t be more excited.

The most popular guess is Colette Bing, the billionaire girlfriend of Rachel Chu's half-brother. Without a doubt, Heart Evangelista would be perfect to play the role of Colette—just like the character, she is a stylish socialite, a social media influencer, and according to Harper's Bazaar, a real-life Crazy Rich Asian!
