Here's Where You Can Get Your Hands On Julia Barretto's Red Birthday Dress—It Comes In Other Colors, Too!
Julia Barretto will be celebrating her 21st birthday on March 10, and to get the party started, the #MetroMostStylish woman held an intimate Mexican-themed bash last Sunday.
She wowed her guests (and Instagram!) in a memorable all-red outfit, donning a mini dress paired with chic block sandals. To keep things elegant, she finished her look with a sleek bun. The summer-appropriate dress was everywhere on our social media feeds—and luckily, we discovered where to get our hands on this double tap-worthy outfit.
The 'I Love You to the Stars and Back' actress sported a creation from Lola and Daisies—an independent Manila-based Instagram shop founded by fashion stylist Mona Santuele. In an exclusive interview with the Metro.Style team, the fashionista and entrepreneur shared her inspiration behind the iconic red mini dress, as well as styling tips this season! Keep scrolling, ladies.
Metro.Style: What is Lola and Daises' signature item?
Lola and Daises: Definitely the Stephanie mini dress. It has been everyone's favorite piece since we released it last summer.
MS: Who designs your clothes?
LAD: I do all the designing!
MS: What was your inspiration in making the Stephanie mini dress worn by Julia Barretto?
LAD: I wanted to release a dress that girls would feel fun and pretty in for summer, so I thought a fit and flare mini dress would be nice. It really is the perfect summer dress.
MS: Does it come in other colors, too?
LAD: They do! The all-time faves are definitely the white and off white ones. Other colors released were black, yellow, mint, and different shades of pink. I used to sell them in gingham too, and everyone got obsessed with the picnic chic vibe.
MS: What are your styling tips for summer?
LAD: Summer is all about wearing light, comfy pieces. I recommend stocking on pieces made of linen (I love wearing linen shirts and trousers!), a classic white button down shirt, and summer dresses that you can style with a light and fun colored cardigan.
