Your First Look At The Kendall Jenner-Approved Giambattista Valli x H&M Collab

In a first-of-its-kind fashion, Paris-based couture house Giambattista Valli was just announced as the new designer collaboration of retail giant H&M. The amfAR Gala at Cannes was the glittering affair that marked this storied announcement. Needless to say, stars like Kendall Jenner, pioneer influencer Chiara Ferragni, singer-songwriter H.E.R. and actor Ross Lynch were the first to wear pieces from the collection.

Historically, H&M collaborations are released six months after the announcement ever since Karl Lagerfeld’s premier collab in 2004. But the brand is known to shake things up. For this year, a pre-collection is available for sale tomorrow, May 25 and with the main collection dropping on November 7. Yes, that includes the Philippines!

“I am excited about this collaboration,” says Giambattista Valli himself. “H&M gives me the opportunity to bring my vision of style and my celebration of beauty to a wider audience.” Think of the collection as couture silhouettes at affordable price points. His signature pointed sleeves and uber-romantic ruffles are within reach right here in the Philippines.

Take it from the style stars who got first dibs on his collection at the Cannes red carpet (turned runway if I may add).  “This dress is everything–gorgeous, dramatic and fiercely feminine–and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the collection will be like,” says Kendall Jenner wearing the now-iconic electric pink tulle number. And for the first time, Valli boys has a reason to revel in the pieces. Valli is creating his first-ever line for men! Ross Lynch is the first-ever man to wear a Giambattista Valli piece—as shown by this matching gray suit.

In it’s 15th year, H&M’s annual designer collaboration is bigger than before. With a star-studded repertoire in the past like Stella McCartney, Lanvin, Versace, and Alexander Wang, the collection, dubbed as “Project Love,” is the closest to couture they’ve ever been. And as Valli tells Vogue on the name, “The thing that makes me most happy in life is if I can make someone happy. It’s beautiful if I can do that for a wider group of Valli girls and Valli boys.” From what we’ve seen, it’s definitely beyond just happiness.
