#MetroStyleWatch: 10 Fun & Feminine Summer Outfits Spotted At The Kate Spade Private Viewing Party

In case you missed it, Kate Spade recently held an intimate, pink-themed party at a Makati art gallery to celebrate the start of summer!

The exclusive event shone the spotlight on the debut collection of Nicola Glass, a Gucci and Michael Kors alumna, and now Kate Spade’s newest Creative Director. Nicola’s first collection continues to embody the fashion house’s signature aesthetic: modern, feminine, and whimsical. At the same time, the creative executive reimagined the brand’s quirky DNA with a more wearable take. Take for instance, this memorable outfit—from afar, it looks like an abstract dress, but if you look closely, it features matchstick prints!

Some of the Creative Director’s first handbag designs are the chic Nicola Twistlock and the fun Dorie bucketbag. Other pieces worthy of your attention are the coat featuring hand-painted floral prints and the puffed-sleeve tops reminiscent of the terno. Finally, you’ll also notice an abundance of muted lavender pieces—according to Nicola, this subtle shade of purple is “the new neutral”!
