If Queen Victoria was the first to wear white for her wedding setting the trend for decades to come, Meghan will surely affect the bridal fashion industry in a positive way, leading future brides to go the minimal route as oposed to lace and beading. No doubt about this as she has made tons of waves in the fashion scene already, with the fashion choices she has been making since day 1 of dating the Prince. Her choice to go for a Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy minimalist gown is proof that she does not need much to make a statement.
The Reception Dress
While we're still waiting for the juicy details of the couple's reception, we are thrilled to share some news about her reception dress (what else?!) The style icon went for a sleek and minimalist chic gown by renowned British designer and daughter of Sir Paul McCartney, Stella McCartney. Her decision to go for a halter-neck gown with no signs of lace or beading is yet again, a statement that she does not need too much to shine.
This creation is signature Stella—clean, minimalist, stark lines, with a dose of sophisticated chic that cannot be replicated, fitting of a royal fashion icon. Stella's name was one of the rumored designers to be making her actual wedding gown, together with the likes of Ralph & Russo. A couple of Hollywood guests showed up at the wedding in Stella McCartney too—the likes of Amal Clooney in that stunning yellow number, and the one and only Oprah in that beautiful blush dress.

The Accessories
The newly married Meghan Markle chose key accessories to finish off this minimalist look—a pair of Cartier earrings, as well as an heirloom piece from Princess Diana's collection, a huge emerald cut aquamarine and diamond ring that the late Princess wore to an auction some 20 years ago. This is yet again another touching tribute to Prince Harry's mom.

According to Who What Wear, "As many of you may recall following Diana's untimely death, the icon had requested that three quarters of her £21 milion estate and her personal jewellery collection was to be put aside for her boys, Harry and William, to inherit. Her wish was for the sons to save these heirloom pieces for their future wives—and they have dutifully followed." We truly love how Prince Harry has been able to pay tribute to his late mom via these intimate details, and we could not help but gush and wish we were in Meghan's place!
We're left completely in awe by the bride's style statements, and one thing we know is for sure: We're keeping an eye out for more of those in the years to come! Once again, congratulations to the royal newlyweds!
