Last Thursday, the 35 Miss World Philippines 2022 candidates held their show-stopping Nation Costume show at the Venice Grand Canal in Taguig City. The theme was Santacruzan, a historical Philippine procession done every May. The parade honors Queen Helena’s pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

This parade coined the term, “Reyne Elena,” For this year, the candidates from all over the Philippines looked every bit queenly in their show of astounding costumes and colorful ball gowns. Filipino designers and craftsmanship were highlighted in many ways through the different renditions of the theme.
