LOOK: This Gown Was What Rabiya Mateo Could’ve Worn At The Miss Universe Final Look
It’s STUNNING!
Miss Philippines bet for the Miss Universe 2020 crown Rabiya Mateo made it to the top 21 of the coronation night, held in Hollywood, Florida jus this evening (US time). In her moments on-stage, Rabiya proved that the Filipina beauty is worthy of the global platform. While her final evening gown look didn’t have much time on the spotlight, Furne Amato, the Dubai-based Filipino designer shared on Instagram the stunning dress. We must say, it is a definite looker!
The orange sheer dress with appliqué and embroidery is inspired by the Philippines’ ‘Sarimanok, a mythical bird of the Maranao who hail in Mindanao. The said creature symbolizes good fortune. It is an intricate piece with hard and soft elements. The laser cut parts sure highlighted Rabiyas figure while the hyacinth Swarovski crystals and glass beads trickled all over the bodice. True to the Sarimanok, the feather hems are lined with feathers to finish the piece.
It is every bit a winning look and to see it still on Rabiya is a moment worthy of celebrating. “We are still so proud of you,” Furne says on the post. It is true indeed that Rabiya Mateo is our queen.
