EXCLUSIVE: Frankie Pangilinan Tells Us How She Styles Her Megastar Mom Sharon Cuneta
This mother and daughter duo proves that being stylish runs in the family!
"Like mother like daughter" is a phrase given to mother and daughter duos that share the likeness of each other. From the way they talk to the way they dress, some resemblances may be uncanny. To complete this year’s Mother’s Day fashion edit, we’re naming a stylish duo that has inspired many mother and daughter relationships today. Sharon Cuneta and Frankie Pangilinan can both prove that grace, brilliance, and being stylish run in their family.
To switch it up this Mother’s Day, we’re handing over the mic to Frankie as she shares to us her fashion tips for her mom. After sounding off our style radar with her Instagram ensembles and her most recent magazine cover shoots, we're definitely more than willing to hear what she has to say about upping her mom's fashion game.
It's hard to miss out on Sharon's head-to-toe designer looks especially when she's got pieces from Balmain, Roger Vivier, and Valentino in her wardrobe but when she does want to dress up during her downtime, best believe that Frankie will be there to help her out. "One of my favorite things in the world is styling my mom. Most of the time she usually has a team of hair and makeup artists along with stylists as well so when she lets/asks me, it's always a hoot," says Frankie.
Take it from us when we say that one of the best bonding moments a mom can have with her daughter is definitely inside a closet filled with clothes, shoes, jewelry, and the like. These pure moments will surely mark anyone's stylistic choices, no wonder why Frankie shares her mom's impeccable taste!
When it comes to trying out the latest trends or donning her personal collection of priceless and sentimental fashion pieces, Frankie says that her mom still needs more pushing. "I tend to tell her to be a little bit braver with her style choices because she's got really exquisite taste but is also shy or often afraid of pushing new limits and experimenting," Frankie further explains, "I catch herself often thinking twice about what she's got on and I like to remind her that whatever she's most comfortable in and whatever makes her feel good is exactly what is appropriate."
Since her mom has been in the spotlight for as long a we can remember, Frankie wants to remind her that she is still free to choose whatever she wants to wear. "Her clothes always portray all her right angles, I think it's time that they portray her heart," says Frankie.
