Summer Checklist: A Fashion Girl’s Guide to Packing Light
We all know that there’s nothing more exciting than a summer getaway. But before the worry free days under the sun, we also know that packing for an out of town trip is not a walk in the park. We all want outfit options but we can’t deal with the excess baggage. Worst part is, we always end up with so much unworn items that make over packing so not worth it.
Packing for a quick beach trip? Maybe these packing tips will help keep your suitcase light and style options endless.
1. Set a color palette
Setting a color palette will make matching your outfits a lot easier and more cohesive. Start with the basics like black, white, and denim, and then choose two to three colors and prints to complete your look.
2. Invest in coordinating or matching outfits
A chic co-ords set can be re-styled to at least three outfit options in an instant. Pack two to three stylish sets and you already have more than enough options to choose from.
3. Look for items that can multitask
A one-piece swimsuit can also be used as a trendy top. A wrap dress or oversized blouse can also serve as a cover-up. A good pair of slippers that’s stylish enough can also be worn for casual beach cocktails.
4. Anticipate the cold nights
Be prepared and add a sweater or a light jacket to your suitcase. You’ll never know when it gets a little cold and windy at night.
