1. Melissa x FILA
Our favorite bubblegum-scented shoes get a contemporary street style and athletic makeover this summer. Brazilian footwear brand Melissa collaborated with Italian sports-style label FILA for a collection made up of four covetable pieces: sneaker (P4,999); slide (P3,999), sandal (P4,999), and pochete (P3,999).
The sneaker comes in the sportswear brand's signature palette of navy, red, and white with a solid-colored base of white, gray, or charcoal. Each sneaker comes with two-colored shoelace options.
The slide is an easy favorite for those who prefer a no-fuss fashion style. Designed with the collaboration's logo, this is a modernized take on one of Melissa’s most widely-adored products.
The sandal has an eye-catching design that features a chunky high platform, a jagged sole, and two ultra-thick double-lock Velcro straps.
The pochete, a bumbag, matches an on-the-go lifestyle. An accessory that's available in two colorways, it easily adds a hip streetwear vibe to an outfit.
"All are under FILA’s shoe designs but 100% Melissa material called MELFLEX™," Joy Dauz, brand manager of Tykes Trading Inc. (the exclusive distributor of Melissa in the Philippines), tells Metro.Style, adding that the collection is "aligned with the sporty athelisure category which is really a big trend right now. There’s something for the chunky sandal lovers. The sandal is actually inspired by FILA’s very popular style, the Disruptor. Likewise, we have something for the non-chunky lovers, a more lifestyle-looking sneaker in four color ways. The bestseller, the slides, caters to the more chill, sporty, and young market.”—Grace Libero-Cruz

3. Forever 21
For those who wish summer is #ForeverOn, Forever 21 recently launched a collection full of stylish picks that echo the fun, light, and bright mood of the season. The collection is divided into three: Resortwear, summer workwear, and men's streetwear.
The resortwear range features tie-front tops in basic colors, floral printed cropped tops and dresses, roomy pants in soft fabric, waist-defining pairs of shorts, and button-down dresses in chic hues like mustard.
Even in the workplace, one can still dress up for summer in visually relaxing, and universally appealing shades of whites, beiges, khakis, browns, and denims. As the runway looks that were showcased during the launch suggest, ensembles worth trying out include a pair of high-waist shorts and a top layered with a soft jacket; a tank top with trousers combo topped off with a tie-front button-down; a cropped top worn with a pair of high-waist shorts, matched with a blazer; a tank top and a flowy pair of pants styled with a denim jacket; and a denim jumpsuit.
The men's streetwear collection featured a cool mix of muted solids and loud prints on casual wear staples like button-downs, bermuda shorts, tees, and denim pants.

Bike shorts, cargo pants, oversized shirts, asymmetric cut-out crop tops, and blazers in these highlighter-bright hues are best worn and put together in monochromatic ensembles: An oversized shirt worn over a bandeau top with bike shorts for an effortlessly cool aesthetic; a cycling cat suit with a blazer for a smart and chic office- and street-appropriate outfit; a sexy cut-out asymmetrical crop top with a laid-back pair of cargo pants for all those casual strolls; or an oversized sweatshirt with a trendy pair of bike shorts for traveling in style.
Wear with visors, glasses, or bags that are also part of the collection, and you're sure to have a major fashion moment people around you won't be able to stop gushing about.—Grace Libero-Cruz
