Mandy Moore

Did you know that Mandy Moore didn’t want an actual grand wedding until she was wed just last month to Taylor Goldsmith? Mandy married her first husband Ryan Adams in 2009 in a small church in front of a just a pastor, and she told US Magazine she always thought going to the courthouse would be more than enough.

But in November 18, Mandy got the wedding she never thought she wanted in her backyard in Pasadena California, dressed in a simple but gorgeous pink wedding gown against a very pink background of flowers and candles.

Instead of going for a traditional white gown with a traditional silhouette, Mandy finally choose the more fashion forward approach and works with Laura and Kate Mulleavy of Rodarte for a riff on one of their Spring 2019 designs.

The bodice of the gown is accented with beautiful pink flowers and beads and is partnered with a layered tulle skirt. Complementing the gown is a pink tulle veil with scattered floral embroidery.

Peeking from under her skirt is a pair of satin heels in blush with a crystal buckle highlight. And true to the simple and pink ensemble is Mandy’s makeup in blush pink and glittery eyeshadow.

Mandy has worked before with Rodarte for some of her red carpet moments before, including her breathtaking black sequined figure-hugging dress with a plunging neckline for the 2018 Emmy Awards.

The wedding was very small, since Mandy revealed to People back in October that both she and Taylor are very quiet, private people. The ceremony was attended by their family and very close friends, some from her hit series This is Us.

For the reception, Mandy changed out of her pink Rodarte number into a sexy black dress with waist and back cut-outs. The simple black dress was then highlighted with a turquoise neck piece that stood out beautifully against her porcelain skin.

It was a very chill night and Many even joined her husband on stage for a song number.

Marta Ortega

Marta Ortega is the heiress to the fifth richest man in the world, billionaire and founder of the Zara brand Amancio Ortega. Last month, she set the media on fire with an intimate ceremony with her groom Carlos Toretta in her hometown in A Coruña, Spain.

Like Mandy, Marta threw out the traditional white gown out of the window and opted for a blush custom floor-length dress designed by Valentino Haute Couture creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. In fact, the piece was so special Pierpaolo even flew in by private jet to deliver the gown to Marta himself.

The gown is simple and elegant, and features a high-neck, pin-tucked bodice with sheer puffed sleeves and a straight skirt and a tie waist in pale pink. She looks almost like a fairy with her floral headdress, bouquet of wildflowers, and plain tulle veil.

The gown is every bit elegant but breaks all wedding gown rules. According to Pierpaolo in an interview with Hola!, “Through this design, I wanted to transmit a sense of unusual romanticism, filled with lightness, freshness, and the intention to illustrate its strong personality. I wanted it to be light like the bride’s aura—not just a dress, but something that would signify the magic of the moment.”

After the ceremony, she then changes into a black tuxedo-inspired suit with a sheer and lace blouse and black stilettos.

The next day, Marta had another reception party planned, and two more outfits from Valentino. She starts off her reception at Casas Novas Horseriding Center with a sparkling gold backless dress for her first dance with her husband to the song, Yellow by Coldplay.

Later that night, she changed into a bigger statement dress in pink, featuring huge bow-like folds for the bodice. In all her four outfits, Marta has really showcased how she can rock and redefine any kind of silhouette and material for Spain’s wedding of the year.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Back in September 29, we got wind of a secret and intimate wedding ceremony between actress and businesswoman Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk. But it wasn’t until last month when Gwyneth finally released photos of the ceremony, which was held at their home in The Hamptons.

Like Marta, Gwyneth went down the aisle with a Valentino wedding gown designed by Pierpaolo himself, but this time a bit more traditional and daintier than the previous two brides. The white gown was a stunning all-lace number with dainty sleeves and an open-back, paired with a dotted cathedral length veil and loose beach waves.

Revealing more details to her magazine Goop, the wedding’s theme was “wild,” which in the case, could possibly mean wild flowers and wildlife since the venue was dressed bare with beautiful floral displays of figs, blackberries, and plums by Michael and Darroch Putnam of Putnam & Putnam.

For the reception, Gwyneth chose to wear a clean white short jumpsuit with a matching cape by Stella McCartney.
