You Saw It Here First: Converse Collaborates With MadeMe On A Collection For The Cool Girl
Sneaker freaks: Heads up! Classic sneaker and streetwear brand Converse wows us with a collaboration made for today's cool girl—the Converse x MadeMe collection! Lourdes Leon wears the MadeMe x Converse One Star Platform in Black Suede
According to MadeMe creative director Erin Magee, this collection was made for “A cool girl. Independent, who will take risks and not worry about what everyone else is wearing or doing. It’s a girl who is attracted to authenticity and wants to explore street, rave, queer and 90s subculture.” The NYC-based brand is known for reflecting the energy and dynamism of downtown youth.
This collection revolves around a platform One Star—a Converse sneaker that was launched in the 90s best known for its colorful spectrum that attracted fans of the rave scene. Erin Magee herself purchased a pair off Etsy just a few months before the collaboration happened. This year, the One Star is back, and redesigned through the eyes of a 90s club kid. Expect to see washed suede and corduroy fabrics as the base, complemented by vibrant MadeMe graphics, premium Napa leather, and widended cotton laces.
The coveted collection officially launches here in Manila tomorrow, May 26, at Commonwealth For The Greater Good in Greenbelt 5 and SM Aura branches. Sneakers retail at Php 5,590 a pair, so get those wallets ready for some serious shopping!
