#MetroStyleWatch: Your Style Icons And Their 2020 Fashion Resolutions

The New Year calls for change. Apart from all the good things that happened last year, we're letting go of bad habits and fashion choices we surely won't miss. Here are your style icons in their fashion resolutions for 2020.

With almost the rest of a full year still ahead, it's never too late to curate our own fashion resolutions. It's everything you want to do and want to avoid. Thanks to the extra day this leap year, there are definitely no excuses. From bad fashion habits such as shopping in fast fashion brands to trends we wore too much, we all want to change for 2020. Although it may seem like a fashion resolution list is solely about negative habits we want to avoid, best believe that change calls for better habits too and bold fashion choices you might want to achieve.

We asked our favourite style icons about their fashion resolutions for 2020. Take it from these self-made fashionistas and their perspective on this call to action.

Martine Cajucom

For 2020, Martine wants to rewear all her 2019 pieces. With the occurring call for sustainability, Martine wants to take responsible steps towards acting upon what she believe in. Although rewearing your wardrobe may sound easy, you have to admit that some of your neglected pieces of clothing often get forgotten or just thrown away. Sustainability in 2020 calls for a better definition. The idea is not just about replacing plastic straws with paper or metal but also living the sustainable lifestyle in full-circle. We agree on this fashion resolution Martine! This will definitely go on our list of goals this year!

Jess Wilson

Following her recent ski trip, Jess wants to invest on more skiing looks this year. With the height of work gear and the recurring utilitarian trend, we can definitely see this work. Jess sees skiing as a daring sport and of course another opportunity to slide down the mountains in style. From faux fur jackets to matching heat tech gear, we can't wait to see these badass looks. Apart from this, Jess also wants to get rid of the clothes she haven't worn in the last 12 months. Get rid in the sense of selling or giving them away of course! A wise and obvious choice since everyone wants closet space in time for 2020's fashion trends.

Janine Gutierrez

You know a fashionista oozes with style and intellect when she can rewear and reinvent pieces she already have. Janine believes in this philosophy and wants to invest in more long term pieces to achieve this. Her main goal is to definitely build a core wardrobe that she can mix and match for year. A state of mind we're more than glad to abide by all throughout the year. We love a resourceful style icon!
